Police: Woman Leaves Toddlers in Car Because They're 'Difficult to Shop With'

Emily R. Bolin, of Westmont, was charged with endangering the life of a child.

A Westmont woman was charged with endangering the life of a child after leaving toddlers in the car to make her shopping a bit easier, police said.

Emily R. Bolin, 24, of the 6700 block of Aspen in Westmont, was arrested Dec. 7 in the parking lot of Brookhaven Marketplace, 7516 Cass Ave., at about 12:42 p.m.

"Bolin stated that she left the kids in the car for 10 to 15 minutes because it was difficult to shop with them," police said.

The children, a 2-year-old girl and a 3-year-old boy, were turned over to their father.

Bolin was charged with endangering the life or health of a child. Police said the Department of Child and Family Services was also contacted. Court dates are pending.

Emily, your job as a mom is to TEACH your children to behave at the store. Maybe consider take a parenting class.

I AGREE with Tom & Mrs. 406!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As a parent, we should & NEED to teach your children, from day one to behave !!! Otherwise, they have no idea what is correct or expected. People do not want to deal with them or be around them.
