Police: Juvenile Dead From Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound
Police said a 17-year-old shot himself late Friday night and was pronounced dead shortly after.

A 17-year-old boy from Beverly died late March 30 after suffering a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the mouth, according to preliminary autopsy results from the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
According to , the teen was in a garage in Evergreen Park. The Medical Examiner's Office has determined the shooting a suicide.

Police said they responded to a call for a shot subject in the 2600 block of West 99th Street at 11:26 p.m. and found a teenage boy shot, lying on the garage floor.
Paramedics from the who arrived on the scene contacted Ingalls Hospital before pronouncing the teen dead at 11:45 p.m., police said.
The South Suburban Major Crime Task Force assisted Evergreen Park Police with the initial death investigation. After gathering evidence, processing the crime scene and questioning several juvenile witnesses, they determined that "the weapon was brought to the location by the victim and the incident is being considered as a self-inflicted gunshot wound," police said in a press release.
