Police Charge Man with Criminal Damage to a Car Linked to an Oak Lawn Auto Theft
Police said an Evergreen Park man, who was seen with two men around a Jeep, was charged with criminal damage to property on a car that was reported stolen from Oak Lawn the previous day.
said Sean P. Morrison, 18, of Evergreen Park, was charged with criminal damage to property, accusing him of damaging a man’s car by breaking out the rear window of a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee in the 3200 block of W. 97th St. at about 3:20 p.m. on Aug. 6.
The Jeep was reported stolen out of Oak Lawn.
According to reports, police spoke with a landlord for an apartment building in that block, who said that a red Jeep parked behind the building didn’t belong to anyone in the building, and that three young men who were standing around the Jeep said it belonged to a friend.
