Police Bust Evergreen Park Man for Dealing Drugs Out of Home Owned by His Parents

Charles Horbin, 24, faces numerous charges after police recovered cocaine, marijuana and more, according to the report.

Evergreen Park police charged a man with multiple felony drug counts after they saw him exchange drugs for money, police said.

Charles Horbin, 24, of Evergreen Park, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver 38.5 grams of cocaine, and felony possession of drug paraphernalia (for having two bongs, four glass smoking pipes, a digital scale, an electric grinder, and small and large plastic bags). Additionally, police said Horbin was charged with felony unlawful possession of a controlled substance for having 12 ecstasy pills and felony possession of 52.2 grams of marijuana.

Police said that on July 15 at 8:30 p.m., they saw Horbin exit his home at 92nd Street and Clifton Park Avenue and hand to the driver of a car a small plastic bag, then receive money from the driver.

Police said at 9:06 p.m., they saw Horbin exit his back door with a joint in his ear, and they took him into custody. That’s when they found cocaine in his front pocket, the report said.

After getting consent from Horbin’s parents, who owned the home, they went to Horbin’s house and recovered all of the paraphernalia, the report said.
