Police Blotter: Stolen Car, Marijuana Delivery and Heroin

Evergreen Park police reports, Sept. 14-20.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 20

Drug Equipment

Sarah Johnson, 26, of Merrionette Park, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. She was stopped at 6:28 p.m. in the 9500 block of St. Louis and had was found to have used syringes, police said. 

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 19

Police Vehicle Damage

John Pappas, 46, of Evergreen Park, was charged with criminal damage to property. He damaged a metal piece of the police van as he was being transported to court, police said.

Heroin Possession

James Connell, 31, of Bridgeview, was charged with possession of a controlled substance. Officers saw Connell cross 95th Street without using a crosswalk. He was found to have three baggies of heroin and drug paraphernalia in his pants pocket, police said.  

MONDAY, SEPT. 17

Steals Car, Runs Away

Corey Cryer, 19, of Chicago, was charged with felony theft and two counts of resisting arrest. A 2011 Chevy was reported stolen from the 3600 block of 95th Street at 2:14 p.m., police said. A few blocks away Cryer was spotted driving the vehicle, he then pulled over and ran from police officers, police said. 

SUNDAY, SEPT. 16

Stashing the Stash

Lindsay Kapral, 24, of Chicago, was charged with possession of cannabis. She was found in a parked car at 5:35 a.m. in the 9900 block of St. Louis. Police said she tried to hide the 5.9 grams of marijuana in the between the seats of the police car. 

FRIDAY, SEPT. 14

29.9 Grams of Pot

Anthony Swoope, 27, of Chicago, was charged with felony delivery of cannabis. He was arrested at 95th Street and Western Avenue after taking the bus with 29.9 grams of marijuana in an attempt to make a delivery, police said.
