Police Blotter: Marijuana Possessions and Walmart Swim Suit Thefts

Police Pull Gun Over 2 Grams of Marijuana
Police officers pulled their guns on a man who they say attempted to flee questioning in front of a gas station. Larome J.Hicks, 27, of Chicago, stopped his car in front of a Circle K gas pump and “stayed there a while, looking around,” police said. When they approached Hicks to talk, police smelled marijuana and asked Hicks to exit the car. He started to drive away but stopped once officers ordered him out at gunpoint, police said.
He was charged with possession of marijuana, having a suspended license and driving without insurance. Under his seat, police found 2.1 grams of marijuana, police said.
Marijuana Dealer Arrested
Jason H. Turner, 30, of Calumet City, was charged with possession of marijuana. Police said they received a tip that Turner had been selling marijuana in Evergreen Park and gave his cell phone a call to arrange a deal. He was arrested outside the Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill, 2401 W. 95th St., around 7 p.m. with 4.9 grams of marijuana in his pockets, police said.

Swim Suit Thefts
Two Chicago women were charged with retail theft for stealing from Walmart, 2500 W. 95th St. around 3:30 p.m., police said. Precious L. Davis, 22, left the store without paying for a $34 swim suit, while Latoya D. Suggs, 23, left without paying for shorts and a bathing suit totaling $27, police said.
