Police found marijuana on two men at a routine traffic stop. According to reports, at about 3:40 p.m., police spotted a Toyota at the intersection of 87th Street and Rockwell Avenue and found that the car had an expired registration. After stopping the car and talking to the driver, 25-year-old Jeremy J. Prowell, who did not own the car, police said they found that his license was suspended and they took him into custody. The owner of the car who was seated in the front passenger seat, Samaje Davis 22, of Chicago, also had a suspended driver's license, police said. During an inventory check on the car, police said they found a clear plastic bag containing eight smaller bags of a substance that later tested positive for marijuana. Reports said police charged Davis with possessing 5.4 grams of marijuana that police said they found in the trunk his car before having it towed.
