Five-Finger iPhone Discount

According to reports,  caught a woman after she took cell phone accessories from Walmart, 2700 W. 95th St. At about 5:56 p.m., Monet Jones, 18, of Chicago took an iPhone case and a pack of screen savers totaling $26.76, police said.

Walmart Retail Theft

Police said at about 10:01 p.m., Shannon L. Williamson, 22, of Chicago took six items from Walmart valued at $44.50. Williamson was charged with retail theft.

Disturbance in the High School Gym

Police said the evening of Dec. 16, Stacey C. Kemp, 20, of Evergreen Park was arrested and charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

According to reports, officers responded to Evergreen Park Community High School, 9901 S. Kedzie Ave., for a disturbance in the gym, where Kemp was causing a disturbance with students from the opposing high school at a sporting event.

When Kemp was told to leave, he began to yell, swear and he refused to leave, police said. When officers attempted to arrest him, he resisted, police said, and “acted in an unreasonable manner.”

THURSDAY, DEC. 15

Blue Island Woman Charged with Traffic Offenses, Possession

Police said Ximena M. Rodriguez, 23, of Blue Island was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

According to reports, at 5:13 p.m., an officer saw Rodriguez driving a 2002 Chevrolet at 99th Street and Pulaski Avenue without a fastened seatbelt. When he stopped car at 102nd Street and Pulaski Avenue, Rodriguez only provided an identification card, and police found that her license had been expired since 2009, reports said. Police took her into custody and found a small plastic bag with three grams of marijuana in the rear storage area passenger seat, according to reports. Police said they also found a multicolored smoking pipe and a metal smoking pipe in the center console.

Rodriguez was also charged with failure to wear a seatbelt, driving without a valid license and no proof of insurance.

TUESDAY, DEC. 13

Man Lifts Home Appliance from Garage

Evergreen Park Police said a man and a woman who went into garages in the village were caught, one with a stolen home appliance, and another with paraphernalia.

According to police, Rachel M. Sellers, 32, of Chicago was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said she had one glass cylinder and a crack pipe with a burnt end. Officers responded to a call of a burglary at about 10:50 a.m. that just occurred in the 3100 block of 101st Street, reports said, and stopped two subjects that matched description at Kedzie Avenue.

Sellers was with Jesse R. Anaya, 33, of Alsip, who police charged with burglary, according to reports. Police said Anaya was carrying a Craftsman air compressor in a plastic bag.

While police were investigating Sellers and Anaya, a complainant in the 3100 block of 101st Street called police and reported that his air compressor was missing from his garage, according to reports. The victim positively identified the two, police said.

According to police reports, the original phone call claimed Sellers and Anaya had been going in garages on the block.
