When two students got into a scuffle, police arrested one of them and turned the other, a juvenile, over to his parents. According to police, at about 11:45 a.m. at Evergreen Park Community High School, 9901 S. Kedzie Ave., the dean told the school resource officer that there was a fight happening. Police Recover Marijuana from a Wooden Box

Police said Robert Floyd, 45, of Chicago, was charged with possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, failure to signal, improper use of registration, suspended driver’s license and no insurance. At 12:24 p.m., officers saw his car exit the Shell gas station at 87th Street and Rockwell Avenue, and merge into the eastbound lanes without signaling, police said. According to reports, Floyd gave a driver’s license that was suspended, so police took him into custody. A search of the car revealed a box containing a green leafy substance that tested positive for marijuana, police said. After checking the license plate on the car, police found that they were registered to a 1993 Chevrolet not on the 1999 Chevrolet that the subject was driving, according to reports. Police recovered 1.6 grams of marijuana, and the paraphernalia was the wooden box, police said.
