arrested Clarissa T. Julious, 27, of Chicago, and charged her with retail theft. According to reports, at about 2:53 p.m., she took 11 healthcare items from Walmart valued at $65.74.

Police Find Drug Paraphernalia and Marijuana in Car

When police saw a car make a strange move, they eventually found the driver had drug paraphernalia and marijuana. At about 4:48 p.m., police arrested Danny Gutierrez, 23, of Chicago and charged him with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and improper overtaking.

While near 100th Street and Kedzie Avenue, tactical officers drove behind a 1996 Cadillac and noticed that it made a sudden lane change, coming off another motorist, police said. Officers stopped the car and smelled marijuana, then Gutierrez admitted to having a grinder in his glove compartment, according to reports.. After searching the vehicle, police said they found a marijuana grinder, a plastic bag , a humidifier with a hose, a glass pipe and 1.3 grams of marijuana.

Speeding Driver Arrested on DUI Charge

At about 2:36 a.m., Evergreen Park Police saw a Chevrolet SUV traveling 70 MPH in a 30 MPH zone, going eastbound on 95th Street at Sacramento Avenue. After stopping Jonathan A. Cooks, 24, of Chicago, police said his speech was slurred and his breath smelled like alcohol. According to reports, Cooks failed field sobriety tests and his breathalyzer test revealed a .14 percent blood/alcohol content level. Police charged Cooks with speeding, disobeying a traffic control device, driving under the influence of alcohol and DUI alcohol with a BAC of over .08 percent.

Man Found with Marijuana in Shoe

Tyrone K. Ward, 32, of Alsip, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Police said Ward had 2.1 grams of marijuana. At about 9:59 p.m., tactical officers saw a Chevrolet traveling southbound on Western at 95th Street with one working headlight, police said. Upon stopping the car, police found that Ward’s license was suspended, according to reports. Police said they arrested him and found three bags of marijuana all weighing 2.1 grams total, in his shoe. Ward was also charged with suspended driver’s license, no proof of insurance and driving without lights when required.

Police Find Drugs on Oak Lawn Resident

Police said after seeing a suspicious man walking in a parking lot near closed businesses, they found drugs on him. According to reports, Philip D. Dennehy, 43, of Oak Lawn, was charged with felony unlawful possession of a controlled substance. He had one 2 mg tablet of Alprazolam, a drug used to treat anxiety and panic disorders, police said. Police stopped Dennehy at about 10:26 p.m. in the 9400 block of Western Avenue and he admitted to having Xanax, a generic form of Alprazolam, in his pocket, reports said. Police recovered the tablet, which he didn’t have a prescription for, and arrested him, according to reports.

Ecstasy Pill Falls Out of Man’s Pocket

Bryan Gilmore, 27, of Oak Lawn, was charged with felony unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Police said Gilmore had one ecstasy pill.  At about 6:08 p.m., tactical officers near 98th Street and Pulaski Avenue saw Gilmore acting suspiciously—talking to himself, and stumbling, police said. According to reports, police stopped him just as he stumbled into the roadway. As Gilmore looked for his identification when police asked for it, a small pink pill fell out of his pocket, police said.
