Woman Seen Taking DVDs, Cosmetics from Walmart
At about 11:31 a.m., Walmart security saw a woman remove DVDs from the electronics department and put several bottles of nail polish and blush in her purse, police said. According to reports, Rosa Rodriguez, 39, of Chicago was charged with retail theft. Police said Rodriguez took two DVDs, seven bottles of blush and three bottles of nail polish valued at $142.27.

Three Women Arrested at Walmart
Police said three women were arrested when they attempted to steal cosmetics, jewelry and housewares items from Walmart, 2500 W. 95th St. According to reports, at 3:15 p.m., Shanelle Christian, 18, of Chicago, Jaquela Paul, 18, of Richton Park, and Lashell Mitchell, 18, of Robbins were all charged with retail theft. Additionally, police said Christian was charged with obstructing police. Police said Christian claimed to be 17 years of age, did not provide identification, and gave a false name. Christian took 10 items valued at $44.04, Mitchell took 11 items totaling $72.49, and Paul took items valued at $142.24, according to police.

Sleeping Beauty Didn’t Know How He Got Behind the Wheel
Evergreen Park Police said they found a drunken man sleeping in an Evergreen Park resident’s car. According to reports, when police responded to a request on the 2700 block of 96th Street claiming that a man was sleeping in someone else’s car, the sleeping subject said that “he had no idea how he ended up in the vehicle.” Police charged Jeffrey Nolan, 22, Merrionette Park with criminal trespass to vehicle. Nothing was taken from the car, police said.
