THURSDAY, JUNE 14

Fraudulent Activity Spotted at Carson’s

said a Carson Pirie Scott employee, 9700 S. Western Ave., was found doing fraudulent returns. According to reports, at 12:55 p.m., Sade R. Reese, 34, of Chicago, was charged with felony theft. Police said store surveillance caught her making fraudulent returns totaling $1005.44. According to reports, Reese took $270 in cash from Carson’s.

Carson’s Employee Caught Using Lost Credit Card

According to reports, a Carson Pirie Scott employee, was arrested and charged after using a credit card she found. At 11:29 a.m., police arrested Kamya L. Martin, 26, of Chicago and charged her with felony possession of lost or mislaid credit card. Reports said that since the end of May 2012, Martin had been using the card and had charged $674.20 by the time she was arrested on June 13.

Police Charge Man with Felony Retail Theft

Police said a man took two bottles of Tide laundry detergent valued at $30.58 from CVS, 3201 W. 95th St.

According to reports, at 7:12 p.m., Cedric A. Dunigan, 50, of Chicago, purchased a can of iced tea and put the laundry soap in a bag, then exited the building. Police said a store employee positively identified him from store video surveillance. Because of his previous record, police charged Dunigan with felony retail theft.

FRIDAY, JUNE 8

Man Caught with Heroin

Leonard L. Dixon, 19, of Oak Lawn was charged with felony delivery of a controlled substance

Police said while conducting surveillance in the 3100 block of West 87th Street at 8:43 p.m., they saw three people driving and eventually found 2.5 grams of heroin on Dixon. The two other people were released with no charge, police said, because they had no contraband on them.

Woman Seen Stuffing Purse with Walmart Merchandise

According to reports, a woman was seen grabbing items from Walmart, 2500 W. 95th St., and stuffing them in her purse. Charmaine Smith, 52, of Chicago was charged with retail theft. Police said that she took 12 items from Walmart valued at $79.77, at about 12:09 p.m.

THURSDAY, JUNE 7

Cops Find Drugs, Paraphernalia on ‘Suspicious Person’

Police arrested Jack Connolly, 22, of Chicago and charged him with possession of paraphernalia and unlawful possession of marijuana. According to reports, at about 9:29 p.m., police saw a “suspicious person on-foot,” walking around in and out of alleys. After stopping Connolly, police said they detected the smell of marijuana. Reports said that police found under one gram of marijuana on Connolly, a pipe and a grinder.
