Police Blotter: A Crack Pipe and Shoplifting Trio

Evergreen Park police reports, Aug. 31.

Crack Pipe

Vhanteel Lowery, 54, of Chicago, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. After police began investigating a retail theft a crack cocaine pipe was found in her vehicle, police said. 

Retail Theft Trio

Three women were charged with retail theft after taking numerous items from Walmart, 2500 West 95th Street. At 3:39 p.m. the women were stopped by store security, police said.

Alicia Richmond, 22, of Chicago took $98.45 worth of merchandise while Kaqunta Richmond, 19, of Chicago made off with $70.97 worth of items, police said. Lucy McClary, 46, of Chicago, was charged with felony retail theft. She placed 29 items valued at a total of $223.40 in a bag and because of prior convictions was given the higher charge, police said.
