Pill and Cocaine Land Chicago Woman in Trouble with EP Police

Jamie T. Varvaris, 34, is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, police said.

A 34-year-old Chicago woman was hit with two counts of felony drug possession after a traffic stop in Evergreen Park.

Jamie T. Varvaris of the 3200 block of West 62nd Street, was arrested at about 1:49 p.m. on June 29, according to an Evergreen Park police report. She also was charged with felony obstructing justice, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a defective windshield and driving without insurance.

Varvaris is accused of having one pill of Clonazepam and 0.8 grams of cocaine when she was stopped by police. She also allegedly tried to give police a fake name. 

Officers did a check of the registration for the car Jamie was driving and found that her license had been revoked for driving under the influence.

A search of the vehicle turned up two small plastic bags of cocaine and one pills, along with several other empty plastic bags.
