TUESDAY, APRIL 30

Liquor Theft

James Collier, 51, of the 7600 block of South Bishop Street, Chicago, was charged with felony retail theft, according to a report. He is accused of taking a bottle of liquor at about 11:12 a.m. from Lagen's Grocery Store, 8859 S. California Ave.

Battery Charge After Road Incident

Carl Peterson, 50, of the 9200 block of South St. Louis, Evergreen Park, was charged with battery. Peterson is accused of a fighting with another driver at about 7:29 a.m. near 2399 W. 95th St. Police said he pulled up to a driver, started yelling, got out and repeatedly punched the man.

CPD Cop Catches 2 Alleged Thieves

Ebony Richardson, 33, and Chiaka Davis, 40, both of the 10200 block of South Pulaski Road, Oak Lawn, were charged with retail theft, according to a report. An off-duty Chicago Police Department officer was getting gas at about 5:31 p.m. at the Shell Gas Station, 10258 South Kedzie Ave., when he allegedly spotted someone taking a pair of glasses. This led to an investigation and arrest of two people for theft. Richardson and Davis are accused of taking $155.95 worth of items.
