An Evergreen Park man faces charges after police say he pulled a steak knife on another man.

An Evergreen Park man faces three separate charges after a disagreement at a local bar and restaurant ended with a knife being pulled.

Michael Crofton, 40, of Evergreen Park, was charged with battery, aggravated assault and two counts of resisting an officer.

On Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 12:14 a.m. police were called to Durbin's, 10240 S. Kedzie Ave., for an issue with a customer. When police arrived they found Crofton being held down by several people and armed with a knife.

Crofton joined a group conversation while at the restaurant and was previously seen putting something up his sleeve, police said. He began to ask about a female member of the group.

Crofton eventually took a steak knife out of his sleeve and the female saw him move toward the man she was with, police said. He was quickly brought to the ground.
