Man Named Threatt Accused of Making a Threat

James P. Threatt of Chicago faces disorderly conduct and assault charges, police said.

A Chicago man lived up to his name after an incident inside a Evergreen Park bank.

James P. Threatt, 51, of the 1600 block of West Waseca Place, was charged with disorderly conduct and assault, according to a report.

Police said Threatt yelled profanities and alarmed customers at about 2:50 p.m. on May 24 in the Standard Bank branch, 2400 W. 95th St.

Threatt then allegedly threatened a bank employee by saying "I'll be waiting for you to get off work" and placing his hand on his breast pocket, according to the report.

Officers caught up with Threatt at 95th Street and California Avenue, police said. He had boarded a PACE bus heading west.

A witness from the bank identified Threatt on the bus, police said.
