Man Faces Felony Drug Charge After Neighbor Reports Open Door

An Evergreen Park man was charged with felony possession of cannabis with intent to deliver.

An Evergreen Park man faces a felony drug charge after his neighbor called police concerned that the door to his home was open. 

On Tuesday, March 5, around 11:45 a.m. a resident called police worried that her neighbor's door was open and that the home might have been broken into, police said. 

Officers responded and upon approaching the door in the 9000 block of Albany smelled a strong odor of marijuana, police said. In plain site was a large amount of marijuana, police said.

James P. Quinlan, 32, of Evergreen Park was charged with felony possession of cannabis with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia. Inside the home was 12.8 grams of cannabis, a baggie with residue, a bong, six glass pipes, two scales, rolling paper and baggies, police said.
