Man Clobbered Victim 'For No Reason' in Evergreen Park: Police

Drug Charge

Deshan M. Pool, 36, of the 11200 block of Lathrop Avenue, Markham, was charged with possessing marijuana, according to an Evergreen Park police report. He is accused of having 17.8 grams of marijuana with him when he was stopped at about 8:08 p.m. in the 3200 block of West 95th Street. An officer was able to smell a strong odor of the drug during the stop, police said. During a searching, the officer recovered two bags of marijuana in the car.

Punched ‘For No Reason’

Theodore J. Machek, 42, of the 3200 block of West 99th Street, Evergreen Park, was charged with battery, according to a report. He was arrested at about 9:56 p.m. in the 2600 block of West 99th Street. Machek is accused of punching a man in the chest “for no reason,” police said.
