Man Busted with Crack Cocaine Near School: Police

A 41-year-old Oak Lawn man faces multiple drug charges after Evergreen Park police arrested him on Nov. 13.

An Oak Lawn man who was the subject of an Evergreen Park drug investigation is accused of selling crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of a Christian school.

Tonedalle Harmon, 41, of the 10400 block of South Pulaski was charged with delivery of crack cocaine within 1,000 of a school, possessing crack cocaine with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a school and possession of crack cocaine, according to an Evergreen Park police report.

Bail for Harmon was set at $200,000, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office.

An officer spotted a hand-to-hand drug deal at about 7:59 p.m. on Nov. 13 near the intersection of 87th and Kedzie, which is near the New Hope Lutheran School, the report states.

Harmon got into a car and started driving away when police pulled him over, the report states. A search allegedly turned up crack cocaine in his jacket and pants pocket. More than 17 grams of crack were recovered or were a part of the drug deal.

Harmon is due on Dec. 9 in Bridgeview court.
