Hook A Kid on Golf

Twenty Evergreen Park children can apply for the chance to participate in a free summer golf program offered by the Evergreen Park Police Department.

The Village of Evergreen Park Police Department wants to get your kids hooked – on golf this summer.

Local police are offering the Hook a Kid on Golf Program to resident youths.

The two Tee Level Clinics are offered free of charge to 20 children; 10 boys and 10 girls; of the Village between the ages of 8-13.

Tee Level Clinics are designed to provide introductory lessons for first time golfers. In addition to being taught basic swing fundamentals, participants will receive special presentations on rules of golf and etiquette as well as drug and alcohol awareness, and bullying. The program also allows the youths to see officers in a helping role and opens lines of communication between them.

The clinics will be held at the Waters Edge Golf Course Driving Range; 7205 W 115th St Worth IL.

The first clinic will be held Monday June 17th, Tuesday June 18th, Wednesday June 19th and Thursday June 20th from 5pm to 9pm.

The second clinic will be held Monday July 15th, Tuesday July 16th, Wednesday July 17th and Thursday July 18th from 5pm to 9pm.
