Steak, Shrimp and Chips Targeted by Shoplifters: Blotter

Evergreen Park police reports, Oct. 22-24.

THURSDAY, OCT. 24

Walter A. Nelson, 57, of the 9900 block of South Ashland, Chicago, was charged with retail theft, according to an Evergreen Park police report. He is accused of stealing chips, worth $4.29, at about 5:37 p.m. from 7-Eleven, 3414 W. 95th St.

Arlene Truell, 47, of the first block of 113th Place, Chicago, was charged with felony retail theft, according to a report. She is accused of taking groceries, worth a total of $100.98, from Aldi’s, 3231 W. 87th St. Police said she stole steaks, chips, candy and shrimp, among other items. A previous conviction for retail theft in 2006 led to the felony charge.
