Drug Bust Results In Arrest Of Orland Hills Man: Blotter

Heroin Charge


James L. Morgan, 24, of the 4000 block of West 89th Place, Hometown, was charged with possessing a controlled substance, possessing drug paraphernalia and was cited for failing to signal, having an obstructed windshield and driving without insurance, according to an Evergreen Park police report. Morgan was stopped by officers at about 4:45 p.m. near the intersection of 87th Street and Kedzie Avenue. The cop who stopped him reportedly saw several pieces of drug paraphernalia, including syringes and burnt cookers, on the passenger floorboard of the car. A search of Morgan allegedly turned up four bags of about 1 gram of a substance that tested positive as heroin.

Drug Investigation


Adley Y. Shelby, 25, of the 9200 block of West 169th Place, Orland Hills, was charged with felony possession of marijuana with intent to sell, according to a report. He also was charged with possession of marijuana. Shelby was arrested as part of a drug investigation. He allegedly had 29 grams of marijuana when he was busted at about 9 p.m. near the intersection of 109th Street and LaCrosse Avenue in Oak Lawn.
