Courts Drop March DUI Charge Against Chicago Man

According to the Cook County circuit court clerk's office, a March DUI charge against a man arrested in Evergreen Park has been dropped.

, 34, of Chicago, has been dropped, according to the Cook County circuit court clerk's office. 

On March 22, Patch reported that on March 12, around 12:38 a.m., Beauford was driving 57 miles per hour in a 35 mph zone when police stopped him in the 9600 block of South Kedzie Avenue, according to police reports. Beauford declined a field sobriety test and Breathalyzer test at the police station, according to police reports and was charged with speeding and driving under the influence of alcohol, police said. 

On Sept. 14, the clerk's office confirmed Beauford's DUI charge was "stricken off with leave to reinstate" on June 28, meaning authorities dismissed the charge but can reinstate charges with new evidence against the accused.
