Cops Taser Man Who Resists Arrest
Evergreen Park Police said a Chicago man who refused to comply with police was Tasered by an officer.
When a man refused to place his arms behind his back and moved uncontrollably, police said they had to Taser him to get him to comply.
On Nov. 3 at about 3:46 p.m., responded to the 9200 block of Pulaski Avenue to a domestic disturbance. According to reports, when the officer arrived, “he was struggling with Montrelle D. Thompson, 22, of Chicago,” who refused to “comply with the officer’s demand.”
When two back-up police officers arrived, police said, Thompson kept resisting by twisting, moving his body and refusing to place his arms behind his back. Police said they Tasered Thompson using “drive-stun mode” to get him to comply.

Police said Thompson was involved in the domestic disturbance, and that it started in Chicago but ended up in Evergreen Park. According to reports, Thompson did not give his real name at first. “He wasn’t cooperating at all,” the police report stated, because he had a warrant out for his arrest.
As a result, police charged Thompson with one count of obstructing a peace officer and two counts of resisting a peace officer.
