Christmas Eve Gas Guzzler

Darius Williams, 35, of Chicago, was charged with felony theft. He wat at a gas station in the 10200 block of Kedzie when police were called. He was observed filling 12 five-gallon water jugs with gas and drove off without paying, police said. The pump was found damaged and the gas totaled $242.36, police said.

Rifle Ruckus

Michael Sheehan, 46, of Evergreen Park, was charged with assault. He pointed a rifle at a man and began yelling in the 9900 block of St. Louis around 3:12 p.m., police said. Sheehan told the man, "I thought you were someone else," police said.

The Ol' Jeans Under the Coat Trick

Extensi Hardwell, 22, of Chicago, was charged with felony retail theft. Police say that around 5:36 p.m. he stuck seven pairs of jeans under his coat and left Carson's without paying. He claimed that he wanted to show someone the jeans, valued at $488, and forgot he had them, police said.
