Chicago Ridge Woman Dies When Car Hits Tree

Police say woman killed in Chicago Ridge was lone occupant of vehicle.


A 52-year-old woman was killed Thursday afternoon when her car struck a tree in Chicago Ridge on Thursday afternoon.

Police said the woman’s car was traveling southbound on Ridgeland Avenue when it left the roadway around 106th Street and hit a tree on the west side of Ridgeland.

Cindy Schultz, of Chicago Ridge, was pronounced dead by medical staff at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

Schultz was the only person in the vehicle.

Police had not other information.
