THURSDAY, MAY 9

Retail Theft Charge for Chicago Man

James Green, 52, of the 6100 block of Wolcott Avenue, Chicago, was charged with retail theft, according to a report. He is accused of taking three pairs of gloves and a pack of gum, valued at $21.90. A store employee told police Green concealed an item down the front of his pants.

Pot Possession Charge At White Castle

Joseph Bermejo, 27, of the 9200 block of Brandon Avenue, Chicago, was charged with possession of marijuana, according to a report. Police saw a car in the rear parking lot of White Castle, 2555 W. 95th St., and reported smelling an odor of marijuana coming from it. When the car tried to leave, a cigar was tossed out of the window. About 0.7 gram of a substance that test positive for marijuana was found.

Chicago Woman Charged With Retail Theft

Vancie Lee, 42, of the 7900 block of Winchester Avenue, Chicago, was charged with retail theft, according to a report. She is accused of placing body soap, toothpaste and dozens of other items into black bags she brought into Wal-Mart, 2500 W. 95th St., and leaving without paying. The total value of the merchandise was $319.96.

Retail Theft From Wal-Mart

Mercedes Daniels, 19, and Breian Boggan, 20, both of Chicago, were charged with retail theft, according to a report. They are accused of taking beauty products at about 4:11 p.m. from Wal-Mart, 2500 W. 95th St., and hiding them in a diaper bag.
