Chicago Man Arrested in Narcotics Investigation: Blotter

Pot Possession Charge

Christopher R. Jarvis, 29, of the 9600 block of Richmond Avenue, Evergreen Park, was charged with possession of marijuana, failing to signal and driving without insurance, according to a report. Jarvis was stopped at about 6:56 p.m. near the intersection of 87th Street and Kedzie Avenue. An officer said he could smell an odor of burnt marijuana inside the vehicle, according to the report. The driver allegedly told police that there was marijuana in the glove box. A clear plastic baggie was found, which contained 3.3 grams of a substance that tested positive for marijuana.

Charges For Alleged Pill, Marijuana Possession

John M. Bojan, 26, of the 6000 block of Marrimac, Chicago, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and not wearing a seat belt, according to a report. Bojan was a passenger in a car that was stopped near 95th Street and Pulaski Avenue. An officer saw the passengers making movement toward the floorboards, according to a report. When asked, Bojan told the police he had hidden two unmarked pill bottles. One allegedly had 4 grams of marijuana and the other had 18 hydrocodone pills.WEDNESDAY, MAY 22

Criminal Trespass Charge

Jerome Seaton, 52, of the 1200 block of Eatna, Gary, Indiana, was charged with criminal trespass, according to a report. He is accused of driving a car that belonged to someone else without permission. Police stopped Seaton at about 5:46 p.m. in the 9600 block of Western Avenue.TUESDAY, MAY 21

Narcotics Investigation

Kenyatta A. Grant, 22, of the 5900 block of Wolcott, Chicago, was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, according to a report. Grant was arrested at about 7:30 p.m. near the intersection of 92nd Street and Western Avenue after a narcotics investigation. Police recovered 0.5 grams of a substance that tested positive for cocaine.
