Bags of Heroin Fell from Man's Shorts: Police

A Shorewood man is accused of drug possession after cops saw several bags of heroin fall from his shorts.

Brian J. Holtz, 30, of the 100 block of East Jefferson Street, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, according to an Evergreen Park police report. Holtz was arrested at about 11:40 a.m. near Pulaski Road. Cops had stopped a vehicle in which Holtz was a passenger for making a traffic violation.

An officer noticed a plastic bag with residue in the vehicle, the report states. During a search of Holtz, eight small plastic bags from his shorts. Field tests of the substance in the bag came back positive for heroin.

Drug Possession Charge


John C. Cypser, 40, of the 2700 block of West 97th Street, Evergreen Park, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, failing to signal and driving without insurance, according to a report. Police stopped a vehicle at about 11:59 a.m. near the intersection of 92nd Street and Western Avenue for a traffic infraction. When the driver, Cypser, opened his wallet, the officer saw numerous tinfoil folds.

The substance in the folds field tested positive for heroin, the report states.
