Alleged Weekend Shooting Remains Under Investigation

Police haven't released details on an incident from Sunday that members of an Evergreen Park Facebook group say involved a shooting where no one was injured.

Police have yet to release details on an alleged shooting that took place over the weekend.

Members of an Evergreen Park crime Facebook group posted on Sunday that a man was arrested after firing a gun. The shooting stemmed from a domestic incident at home on 102nd Street and that no one was harmed, according to the group's posts.

However, none of those details have been confirmed by police.

An official statement about the shooting was not available Tuesday afternoon. The incident remains under investigation, said Sgt. Jack McCarthy of the Evergreen Park Police Department.

I also heard about this!! Supposedly this happened around 103rd & California, Sunday afternoon around 1-2 p.m. A close friend of mine told me that her brother, who lives in Chicago & is a Chicago Police Officer, lives a few blocks away. He heard the shots and went to see what was going on AND CONFIRMED, yes there was a shooting. From what I heard, there are people renting the "targeted" house. Apparently they are gang related. This really needs to be looked into! I heard about it Sunday night and I haven't heard or read anything about it. I wish I had more details!
