Adult Fracas Breaks Up Fun at Chuck E. Cheese
Oak Lawn police intervene between angry adults in front of popular children's entertainment Sunday evening, captured on video.
All hell broke loose in front of Chuck E. Cheese in Oak Lawn on Sunday evening, during an apparent adult fracas that spilled outside into the parking lot.
At least six, Oak Lawn police vehicles with lights flashing were parked in front of the children’s entertainment restaurant at 4031 W. 95th St. around 6:30 p.m.
A video of the scene captures several adults shouting and arguing with each other and police, as they were being moved away from the restaurant toward the parking lot. Diapers and jars of baby food tumbled out of a diaper bag as police separated a man was separated from another group of adults and spread him against a car.

Other adults walk out of Chuck E. Cheese carrying birthday cakes, and several children stand quietly among the shouting grown-ups.

A woman can be overheard in the video saying, “Whatever you all do, watch the babies.”
The Village of Oak Lawn put CEC Entertainment, which then owned the restaurant chain, on notice last year because of ongoing security issues at the Oak Lawn location, including a gang-related shooting in the parking lot in December 2012.
The children’s entertainment restaurant chain was acquired by Apollo Global Management, the private equity firm which also owns Hostess, for $1.5 billion in January.
According to the company’s website, “When you have a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese's, you always party like a rock star.”
