Tuesday, , 9335 S. Kedzie Ave., is holding a at 5 p.m. Join the local business community for an evening of refreshments, a prize drawing and excellent networking opportunities.

3. Farmer's Market

If you haven't yet made it out to thetake some time and visit and support the local economy. The market is in the parking lot at 89th and Kedzie every Thursday, 7 a.m. - 1 p.m. through October.

4. American Girl Fashion Show Auditions

The Altar and Rosary Society is holding on Sept. 14 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 115 Bourbon Street, 3359 W 115th St in Merrionette Park, IL. All are welcome and encouraged to audition.

5. Most Holy Redeemer Hosts 5K

on Thursday at 6 p.m. There will be a beer garden party after the race for anyone 21 and older. Registration fees (if paid by Sept. 12, includes a T-shirt): $30 per 5k Runner/Walker (Adult); $20 per 5k Runner/Walker (Student/under 21); $100 per family (includes 4 shirts). Extra shirts are available for $10.
