The Oak Lawn Park District was recently awarded a $400,000 Open Space Land Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grant for the redevelopment of Worthbrook Park located at 89th & Ridgeland.
Improvements will include an update to the skate park, installation of a splash pad, a new family picnic shelter, new walking/exercise trail, renovation and relocation of two existing softball fields, and two rain gardens.
The Oak Lawn Park District has received close to 1.5 million from OSLAD funding since 2000.
