The Moo & Oink mobile BBQ team will visit the Evergreen Park Meijer from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1 through Sunday, Nov. 3 at 9200 S. Western Ave, Evergreen Park.
Moo and his pal Oink will be along on Saturday for photos with kids. The characters are the official ambassadors of Moo & Oink and all things BBQ.
Cooks from Moo & Oink will offer samples of a variety of Moo & Oink chicken products including Chicken Tenders, Spicy Chicken Tenders, Chicken Nuggets and Chicken Patties.
The tenders, nuggets and patties are breaded and made with premium, all-white meat. They can be deep fried or oven-cooked.
Moo & Oink is known for its selection of meat and its commercial jingle from the ‘80s and ‘90s, and it was thought to be gone forever after a 2011 bankruptcy of the Moo & Oink grocery stores. Best Chicago Meat Co., partnering with Dutch Farms, purchased the Moo & Oink brand in Dec. of 2011 with the intention of bringing the most popular items to grocery stores across the Midwest.
Currently Moo & Oink products are available at more than 350 grocery stores throughout the Chicagoland area as well as in Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan and Minnesota.
