St. Bernadette Students Send Troops Gifts Overseas

Students from the St. Bernadette Student Council recently participated in the Gifts From Home program.

A few Evergreen Park students teamed up with an Oak Lawn-based organization to send a little holiday love to troops overseas.

students joined the Gifts From Home program to help soldiers serving outside of the country, reported the Suntimes Media Group.

Students from all grades in the school donated food, candy, games and holiday decorations, as well as wrote notes to the soldiers.

Oak Lawn residents John and Alice Collins, who started the Gifts From Home program seven years ago, gathered the gifts and sent them overseas.
