Five Things You Need to Know this Week: Dec. 19-23

Get ready for the holidays and catch up on good news in Evergreen Park. Here are five things you need to know to start your week off with a BANG!

1. Tax Levy, Water and Sewer Information Expected This Evening

Mayor James Sexton and the board of Trustees will hold the next village board meeting this evening at 7:30 p.m. in Council Chambers of  They are expected to vote on the tax levy for the 2010-2011 fiscal year, and two other ordinances changing water and sewer rates for 2012. , then check back with us this week for more information.

2. Dogs Attack Kids at Southeast Elementary

Three first grade students were attacked by two dogs that escaped from the Mount Greenwood community at recess Tuesday, but were  We will update you as information becomes available.

3. Santa Claus is Coming to Town!

There's still time to until Christmas Eve. Call the Recreation Department at 708-229-3373 to schedule your visit. If you didn't make it, Santa will be at The Plaza until Christmas Eve as well.
