A One-Man-Show and Pooches in Costumes: Get Out!

Looking for something to do this weekend? See a few cute canines in costumes or check out some stylish choo-choo trains in nearby Oak Lawn. Here are a few events going on in and around Evergreen Park this weekend.

It's still nice enough weather outside to not want to stay at home this weekend. Grab the kids, and even the dog, and prepare for a weekend of family fun.

1. 

Evergreen Park residents who have been involved in a  for the original intent of land given to the group 50 years ago will meet about recent developments on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Support the Pathfinders Club by purchasing a few trinkets at their yard sale this weekend. PLEASE NOTE: The sale will be on Oct. 14 and 16 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at

Step a little outside of the village and attend the Oak Lawn Southland Model Railroad Show. See stylish choo-choos and capture your favorites.

Want to see a few cute pooches tout their costumes? Head to the Well for the first annual Canine Costume Ball. There will be treats, a grand march and more! Humans without dogs in the competition are welcome to attend!

Always wanted to go to a one-man-show? Well you can cross that off your bucket list this weekend in Palos Hills at Moraine Valley Community College. George Burns will perform "Say Goodnight Gracie" on Sunday for a matinee. Enjoy!
