Where to Donate Supplies For Mission Trip to Washington,IL Tornado Site

When and where you can donate locally to the tornado victims in Washington, IL

Members of the Saint Christina Parish Youth Ministry will be traveling to Washington, IL next month to aid victims of the devastating tornado that swept through the area. 

The group is currently collecting supplies to take to those left with few possessions after the storms. You can drop off donations after Masses Thanksgiving weekend, however a parent of one of the group's members has volunteered the Baymont Inn and Suites in Alsip as a 24-hour drop off site. 

Located at 12801 S. Cicero Ave., you can bring in donations to the front desk anytime between now and Wednesday, Dec. 4. All donations will be driven to Washington and given to local churches who will then distribute them to those most in need. 

At this time, the most needed items are: Plastic storage bins, baby items, boots and shoes, cleaning supplies, diapers, socks, buckets, wipes, bottled water, bleach, formula and bottles, non-perishable food, Soap, personal care items, toothbrushes, scrub brushes, toothpaste, hairbrushes and work and winter gloves.
