The Three C’s of Writing with Published author Charles J Shields
Audience: Adults and students of high school age
No matter whether you’re a poet, memoirist, a novelist, a short story writer, or just someone who wants to make himself better understood on paper, all good writing demonstrates the Three C’s: Cogency, Clarity, and Coherence.
Charles J. Shields, published author of numerous books for children and adults, will first give a talk about the Three C’sand then, after a short break, writers invited to read aloud samples of their work in any genre for no more than five minutes apiece. Then Shields will lead supportive workshop critique among the audience, using the Three C's as benchmarks.
