Storm Warning Dropped for Evergreen Park, Hazardous Weather Remains
The National Weather Service has dropped the winter storm warning however a hazardous weather outlook remains.
After the National Weather Service dropped the winter storm warning, a hazardous weather outlook remains in effect for Evergreen Park, north central Illinois, northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.
Wind chills are expected to drop to between five below to 10 below zero across much of the area tonight into Saturday morning, "with values as low as 15 below zero across portions of north central Illinois," said the National Weather Service.
Light rain is also expected to mix with the snow.
