Flash Flood Warning Issued for Evergreen Park

Evergreen Park and other surrounding towns are under a flood watch, according to the National Weather Service.

As thunderstorms continue to drench Evergreen Park, the National Weather Service placed the area and other surrounding towns under a flood watch.

The NWS has issued a flash flood watch for northwestern Lake and southern Cook Counties, effective 11:05 p.m. Thursday until 4 a.m. Friday.

. Nearby Oak Lawn, Blue Island, Palos Park and Midlothian may experience flooding.

The National Weather Services reminds residents to be especially cautious at night when visibility is limited, and it's harder to recognize any flooding. The service encourages to move to a higher ground if you recognize flooding and not enter the water.
