Just in case you didn't know, the Evergreen Park Public Library has plenty of things to keep the kids busy this summer, and events for adults to get away from the kids. New York Times Best Selling thriller/crime fiction author Karin Slaughter will be at the Evergreen Park Public Library this Thursday. Make sure you give yourself a break and go meet and greet her.
4. Super Saturday Events

5. Gone Fishin'
We Patch editors work really hard to keep you informed on your towns, so we deserve a break every once in a while. I'll be taking Thursday and Friday off to enjoy my family reunion, but don't fret, you'll be left in good hands, like Allstate says. Guest editor Jesse Marx will hold down the fort until I come back.
