Caution: More Severe Weather Headed for Evergreen Park

The National Weather Service has placed Evergreen Park and the surrounding areas under a hazardous weather outlook for Tuesday.

Following a morning of thunderstorms, the National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Evergreen Park and surrounding areas, including north central Illinois, northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

According to the weather service, the thunderstorms could produce isolated tornadoes, heavy rain, damaging winds higher than 60 miles per hour and hail up to the size of quarters. Strong winds will cause the storms to become severe.

Later this evening, more heavy rainfall is also possible through the night, said the National Weather Service, "as thunderstorms may continue to develop over northern Illinois."
