Caution: Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued for Evergreen Park

The National Weather Service said overnight freezing rain could have produced cold temperatures and dangerous roads for your morning commute. Be careful out there.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Evergreen Park, including North Central Illinois, Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Light rain and drizzle came overnight Monday, and a cold front was expected to enter the area around midnight. The National Weather Service said the temperature is expected to drop to a low of eight degrees Tuesday evening.

The overnight cold front may have produced freezing rain and freezing drizzle, which may result in dangerous roads. Use caution when driving and plan your commute accordingly. The National Weather Service said residents may wake up to light snow, which will continue during the afternoon. Some accumulating snow is possible during this time.
