Wintry Cocktail + Record Warmth!

Snow, ice, rain, warmth, thunderstorms, cold. In that order for the next week.

A couple of things to talk about early this Saturday morning. We officially ended our record streak of days without an inch of snow on the ground and without recording an inch of snow from one event with 1.1 inches yesterday. Today should be fair and cold with no snow. Attention turns to Sunday where a dangerous ice storm seems to be taking shape on parts of the area. Traveling could be extremely dangerous if not impossible in parts of the metro area. After that a warm front will blast through the area and we could possibly break 50 degrees with thunderstorms on Tuesday before another Arctic front storms through and drops the temperatures back to below freezing. Much more on the winter storm Sunday later.
