Pete's, Lagen's, Aldi, Wal-Mart, Sam's Club. Are these the only grocery stores in Evergreen Park?

That's TWO Aldi's! And sadly yes, these are the only ones. Although I have no idea what Lagen's is. We need more quality stores, I buy groceries near my sisters house in St Charles because there are more organic and meatless products. If you need something to BBQ, deep fry, or smother in sauce...EP is your town! If you want something healthy, that's another story.

Monica, most of us Lagen's fans WANT to keep Lagen's a secret!! Further to Pete's....I have been told by several different people that the owner of Pete's is nasty and brutal to his employees. A Pete's shopping tip strategy is, that if you must go there shop only the perimeter of the store as the interior aisles are no bargain. Another criticism of Pete's: I am waiting for a serious car accident to happen when someone pulls out of Pete's lot or blocks 35 mph+ traffic on 95th. Even the Oak Lawn Jewel does not have such traffic blind spots as erected by the Village of Evergreen Park.

I went to Pete's once and I'll never go again. (Well, maybe if they get more parking.) Yeah, it's the parking that puts me off the most. I'm not a bold enough driver for that place!! My nerves! My nerves!! My mom and I went there when it first opened. Even aside from the parking, I wasn't particularly impressed by the products or by the prices. My best friend LOVES the place, though!!! If the boss is nasty, I'll take a pass. It's pretty easy to tell, when you go into a store, whether or not all the employees are miserable. Very sad.
