Video Slide Show: Start-to-Finish Look at Landscape Project

The Ries family started off with the idea of installing an in-ground pool at their home in Orland Park. They ended up building their own backyard paradise, thanks to the work of the folks at Beary Landscaping.

Kay Ries said her husband always dreamed of having an in-ground pool in his back yard. He now has a palm tree standing tall over his own bit of paradise.

Beary Landscaping started work on backyard makeover project at the Ries home in Orland Park in mid-June. By late August, work was complete and the Ries boys—Justin, Zachary and Colin—were swimming in their pool.

Here is a start-to-finish look at the construction project, photos courtesy of Beary Landscaping residential sales director Mark McClure.

Wow in the height of economic disparity you decide to brag about splurges. Awfully pompous of you to announce your indulges to others who are more concerned with how they will provide for their families, keep their businesses running, or hold on desperately to their jobs. My family has been fortunate this year but I choose not to rub it in anyone's face. If this is some cheap marketing ploy by Beary landscaping, I hope this article did the opposite for you. The Patch should be ashamed to put out such a snobby article as this one.

Frank: The handprint is of the Ries children in the original concrete that was preserved and added to the hearth of the new fireplace.

Its great to read nice articles like this one. We hear and see enough of the other stuff - people killing their families, their wives etc. I don't think they meant to be snobby. You can't please everyone and I think the Patch does a superb job of reporting a variety of articles about everything. It sounds like AB is hurting and I'm sorry about that, I truly am.
