Responsibilities include registering students, selling tickets to shows and memberships, and assisting customers. Approximately 12 – 20 hours a week. Facility Maintenance Technician


U-Haul is looking for a full-time, facility maintenance technician for its moving centers, storage centers and other U-Haul buildings in the south and southwest suburbs. Duties includ clumping, carpentry, masonry, electrical, and repair or maintenance of central heating and air conditioning systems. The candidate is also responsible for all routine roof and signage inspections. Position requires a valid driver’s license and must maintain a good driving record to operate motor vehicles with both types of transmission (automatic or standard). Reservation Manager


U-Haul’s regional office in Alsip covering Chicago’s South Side and southwest suburbs has an opening for a reservation manager to direct incoming U-Haul equipment to dealerships and moving centers to fill every confirmed reservation. The idea candidate will assist in controlling rental equipment inventories within the assigned marketing company geographic area to balance customer requirements with rental equipment supply. Monitor current competitor rates and maintain inventory records. Social Service Career Trainees


The Illinois Department of Human Services is looking for candidates interested in state careers helping fellow Illinoisians. Bilingual speakers are a plus! Candidates be trained in determining the eligibility and providing needy families with appropriate referrals to supportive programs, with the promotional title of human service casework. A six to twelve month training period is required. Additional 5-percent added to base pay for foreign language or ASL skills. Excellent state benefits package. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in anthropology, sociology, psychology, social welfare or equivalent in related field of social sciences. Electrician Apprenticeships


IBEW Local 134 and the National Electrical Contractors Association are accepting registrations for their 2014 electrical and communications apprenticeship programs. Applicants must be at least 17 at the time of registration. High school seniors are welcome to register, with acceptance into the apprenticeship contingent on graduation. Interested applicants may register every Wednesday between 9 and 11 a.m. starting Jan. 8, 2014, IBEW-NECA Institute, 6201 W. 115th St. in Alsip.
