'Cork and Kerry' Named One of 'Thrillist's' Top 21 Irish Pubs in U.S
'Thrillist' revealed its top 21 Irish pubs in the United States on Saturday, March 8—just in time for customers to pop in for a pint. Or two.
It just isn't St. Patrick's Day without throwing back a pint at an authentic Irish pub—or as close as you can get in Chicago.
Lifestyle website Thrillist compiled a list of its most highly recommended Irish pubs in America, and Chicago's own Cork and Kerry, 10614 S. Western, made the cut.
Among its charms, Thrillist listed the building's history as a speakeasy, and its withstanding a 1999 fire that nearly turned off the taps for good. Oh, and don't forget the "bedecked" beer garden. That beautiful, wonderful beer garden.
